KIMBERLY THOMPSON
Born and raised in Parkside, Saskatchewan, Kim began her classical piano and theory training with Elaine Mitchell of Shellbrook, SK. After graduation, Kim attended Brandon University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Music. She then returned to Saskatchewan and taught private lessons in Saskatoon and later in Banff before establishing her own studio, Thompson Music, in 2007. Over the years Kim has had a plethora of opportunities that she accredits to being a music specialist in a rural community. From adjudicating music festivals, prepping and accompanying students for exams and instructing at musical theatre camps to directing choirs, coaching chorus ensembles and currently celebrating over 20 years as a music instructor.
ROBYN THOMPSON
Robyn Thompson was born and raised in Delia, AB. After graduating high school in Delia, she decided that music was her calling, and left for Manitoba where she attended the Brandon University School of Music. Robyn received her Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Vocal Performance.
From there Robyn went to Oberlin Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio, where she was very fortunate to study with world renowned operatic tenor and pedagogue, the late Richard Miller.
Robyn has had the opportunity to sing in some pretty amazing places in both Canada, the USA and Europe. Most recently she’s been back on stage in the productions of ‘Annie’ and ‘Mary Poppins’ with Stage Hanna.
